– 32 years working at Folha de S. Paulo, one of the major Brazilian daily newspaper.
– Advisor at Folha’s Editorial Board (1984–1991).
– Edited political articles at the time of Brazil’s re-democratization process.
– Organized debates and built bridges between Folha and prominent intellectuals, artists and entrepreneurs.
– Edited the independent, polemic and prestigious Folha’s opinion section (“Tendencias/Debates”, 3rd page).
– Created specialized article sections in Economy (Opinião Econômica) and Local News.
– Promoted film festivals (American, German, French etc) and debates with Dennis Hopper, Gerard Depardieu, Godfrey Reggio, Marco Bellocchio, Werner Herzog, Heiner Muller and Nestor Almendros.
– Coordinated events and debates with writers such as Gore Vidal, Marshall Berman, Ernesto Sabato, José Saramago, Guillermo Cabrera Infante, Caetano Veloso and Michel Tournier.
Folha’s Travel Editor (1991-2012)
– The weekly 12/18 page supplement into a source of cultural information, innovating the usual and restricted format of compiling basic data of places visited by the reporters. Since then, the Travel section has been considered a reference, combining hard news and historical particularities, displaying illustrated timelines and also exploring emotions and experiences about Brazil and foreign lands.
Introduced an innovative approach to the tourism press, by enriching the perception of cities and countries, through the addition of articles and interviews of influential people.
– Introduced comprehensive graphics and extensive journalistic material, turning the Travel Section into a vibrant source of information for readers of all ages, as shown in a recent newspaper research (Perfil do Leitor, 2011).
– Responsible for Folha’s website. Quadruplicated the online audience from April to December 2011, maintaining the same independent editorial orientation.
– Folha de S.Paulo‘s Editor-at-Large, Seminariosfolha‘s coordinator and travel blogger from 2013 to 2016.
Private Professional Investor (“Investidor Profissional”/CVM), freelancer travel journalist/editor (with publications such as Expressions, the Brazilian American Express Platinum Card magazine; The President, luxury magazine focusing CEOs; CVC Sempre com VC magazine/collaborator; and freelancer at Travelpedia website). Since last May 2022, developing http://www.VivaViagemViva.com, a new travel website. Prêmio Europa de Comunicação (2022) – member of judging commmittee/European Travel Commission (ETC) in Brazil.
